The apple of my eye.

Hey everyone…

Lately I find myself daydreaming about New York and how badly I want to go back for a visit.

Like I said before, I had to complete a fashion internship to graduate. So I want to share a link to my previous blog that I wrote shortly, in the summer of 2010 while living in New York. Since I had to do an internship, I figured I was going to do it big! This silly blog was a way to share my experience with everyone back home.

I, of course could have never accomplished it without the help of a certain family member who was living there. (you know who you are and thank you).

Here is the office of Burberry on Madison Avenue.

Everyday I charged into that building with no clue as to what challenges I would be faced with. It was a summer of homesickness, confidence gaining, independence, growth, laughter, tears, fun, and pure broke-ness. I spent SO much money!

To all you dears who want to live there one day, start saving because money moves in the blink of an eye.

Here I was on the steps of the Met, like Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl).

Enough talk though, visit my page now to read all about my summer!

I just watched it for the first time in 3 years and nearly burst into tears. All the memories of my experience came flooding back to me. Seeing that showroom again made my heart hurt. I remember every detail like the back of my hand, it was my job too of course! Hope you enjoy. This is the first time you ever hear my voice and it was 3 years ago, so have mercy on me! LOL I am very awkward. Thanks for reading and I would love to hear what you think!

until next time,

stay cute, stay sweet,

xoxo

  7. Looking for a fashion marketing internship for this summer! Do you have any advice on finding one? The Burberry internship looked amazing!

    1. Hey, thanks for reading! My best advice to you is research! A lot of companies post internships like job listings on career sites. Some designer brands, on their websites if you click careers, sometimes they list internships. Some programs exist too where you can pay them to pair you with a major company to complete an internship. Just do your research, get your resume polished to perfection and try to post it and email it to as many outlets as possible. Good luck to you. I found a lot of listings by just googling fashion internships. 😀

  8. What a cool experience! That awesome you got to work for them, how did that opportunity come about? / Your video is so great compared to all the fashion internship videos I’ve had to sit through!

    1. HAHAH, thank you so much. My video was embarrassing. My teacher loved it so much when I turned it in she showed it to EVERY class including her Freshmen. My uncle lives in NY and had a friend working there. So I def. got my foot in the door that way. Thanks for reading and all the sweet comments. 😀
