Friday Favorites – 2nd Edition.

Happy Friday everyone!!! I can’t begin to describe in words how happy I am for the weekend to be here! I am dancing like Miley Cyrus in my head right now. Ok, maybe not, but you catch my drift. I am so happy! HA-HA. For my husband and I, the last few weekends have been occupied with traveling, visitors, etc. I need a chill weekend and today is the day that begins.

So, I want to share another round of “Friday Favorites”.  A few trends that I am really loving right now, but before I do that I would like to introduce to you someone very close to my heart.

This little cutie pie, is Issac. He is four years old and he lives in Uganda. For a few years now, I have been wanting to foster/donate on a regular basis to a child in a 3rd world country. However, I have always been weary of non-profit organizations just because of the scams that occur so frequently with these types of things. So I started doing some research and found World Vision.

World Vision is an amazing company, that has been accredited by the Better Business Bureau. They act as a middle man between families in need and people like you. Through World Vision we are able to provide life to children and families that would go without many of life’s necessities that we Americans take for granted.

For $35 a month, we are providing Isaac AND his family with water, education, food, and simple necessities that we all have at the tips of our fingers. How could you NOT donate?! Even if you can’t sponsor a child monthly, you can make a one time donation. But for $35 a month, $420 a year, you can make the difference between happiness and despair in a child’s life. It is just a beautiful thing.

You can also form a relationship with your child as well. They will send you letters and you can send them letters and packages. World Vision will also send you progress reports on their health and school reports. As good hearted people, it is our duty to help those in need, so please if you can donate, donate, donate. 🙂

There is my speech for the day! Now on to my Friday Favorites…

1. Right now I am loving the color:

redI love red anything, I can’t tell you why. I just think it is such a classic color and it just screams fall.

2. My favorite beauty look right now is…

hairSomething is really chic to me about this look. It isn’t trying too hard. It is a “I styled my hair, but slept on it and just walked out the door the next day” look. It isn’t so perfect and prim, it is not stuffy, like a full curl, or a clean up-do.

3. Something that has been around for ages, but I am still crushing on…

dots

I know that this style is age-old, but it never gets old for me! HA-HA.

4. A cute trend that is SO going to die eventually, but is fun for now is…

cat

Kitties!!

We all know that years from now people won’t be wearing cat themed fashion, but for the moment it is fun! Cats have really taken over social media in the past few years. Who hasn’t seen piano cat on Youtube, or “grumpy cat”? Cats are everywhere from Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. It is no wonder they are taking over the fashion industry as well.

5. A perfect, edgy trend that isn’t new, but still a favorite of mine…

stud

I love studs on anything, but bags especially. They add so much flair to a boring leather bag.

There are 5 more things that are my favorite for the moment and of course, a sneak peek at my little love in Uganda. I hope you all can make the decision to give to such a great cause. Please visit World Vision to see what small sacrifice you can make that will create a momentous difference in another’s life. 🙂

Happy Friday, have a great weekend. Like I said, big things are coming so please stay tuned. Thanks for reading, I appreciate it!

until next time,

xoxo
