Tuesday Tart

Hi again everyone! Tonight I am in the mood for chatting and decided…why not a quick post on something that is on my mind and close to my heart.
Tuesday tart is the perfect name for such a post because this doesn’t have any relevance other than it’s just a little something extra. Just like a fashion dessert! 🙂 You know I love sweets.
So leave now if you don’t care to read, or keep going to enjoy a frivolous post.
Target
I really love Target and for various reasons, but here are only five of them.
1. Designer lines. Jessica-Alba-Phillip-Lim-Solange-Knowles-Target.ms.090513
How great is it that Target partners with some of the fashion industries’ hottest designers to offer us “peasants” the luxury of designer styles!?
As much as I love fashion, I can’t buy every little thing my heart desires, but by offering reasonable prices, Target helps me in making my designer dreams come true.
Last year I scored a Marc Jacobs scarf, that I normally would have probably passed on.
Coming February 2014, Target has already announced their next collaboration…

How crazy, fun are these dresses?! Clearly we won’t be buying these celebrity style versions, but you get the idea. 🙂
2. Home goods.
Home goods from Target
Target has some of the most unique and sophisticated home items and at fabulous prices. They have things you don’t need, but just have to add to your home. I get pulled in every time I visit Target, “just to look”. They do a wonderful job at following interior trends and keeping their aisles stocked with pieces no one can resist.
3. Caldrea Candles!

I know technically this is considered a home good, but they are so stinking AMAZING that they deserve to be mentioned alone! If you have not smelt a Vanilla Lemon Caldrea candle, I can’t even put into words what you are missing out on! When you burn one of these candles, the fragrance is so potent your house smells great and it lingers longer than any candle I have ever owned. I love burning candles, but I hate how quickly the smell disappears. Next time you go to your local Target, check these out!
3. Basics.
Basics!
Target is the BEST place to buy what I like to call “disposable” clothing. It is essential wardrobe pieces that are very much needed, but don’t require you to spend a lot of money on them because they are so basic and can be replaced, duplicated, or discarded at ANY moment. Scarfs, basic tees, solid cardigans,  sunglasses, leggings, purses, totes, hats, scarves. These items are known as soft goods in the retail industry.
I try to steer clear from buying actual style pieces because that really cute dress, with the really pretty print is the same really pretty dress that your neighbor is buying.
I can’t tell you how many times I spot Target clothes repetitively on various people in a span of a few days. As great as Target is, let’s think outside of the box and hold back the urge to buy an entire wardrobe from Target.
5. Target Red card.

To make shopping at Target even more tempting, they offer their very own credit card AND debit card. Everyone should own a Target Red card! I own the debit card version. When I shop I get 5% off my purchase, the money is taken out of my checking account like a regular debit card,  and online purchases ship free.
If that doesn’t tempt you enough,

Target even pairs up with local schools to donate a percentage of purchases to child education.
So there you have it, here are a few of the many reasons why Target is one of the best stores out there. Hope you enjoyed this little sweet, tart of information from yours truly.
until next time,
stay cute, stay sweet.
xoxo,
