A Leopard Lesson.

Happy Hump Day and Happy Halloween eve! I love the spirit of Halloween excitement in the air. and the thrill of being scared. I am a baby though anything scares me.

But tonight I want to do my second addition of “How To”.

This time I want to show you how to style:

photo 1-74

I know some of you may steer clear of leopard all together. Or, you may own something leopard printed, but play it safe by wearing it with basic jeans. I will be honest with you, as always…I was a little intimated to wear it for the first time as well. It is so bold and if not styled properly, it can come across like you are part of the Fine Family.

Tacky, cheap, and loud.

But, once you know how to wear leopard tastefully, you want to wear it all the time. When I decided on creating this post, I said okay I will showcase my chiffon leopard top. Then I said to myself, “wait, I also have leopard print pants!” I then spun into a leopard frenzy because not only do I have a leopard top AND pants….I also have a leopard print scarf, thick coat, and shorts! I am totally feeling like Cruella Deville right now. 😀

I like leopard print! Maybe too much. I hope after seeing this post, you will feel the same way. Here are 3 different takes on how to wear leopard print.

photo 3-68

Number One.

Please note: Leopard CAN be paired with lace AND other prints, AND other colors. You don’t have to wear leopard alone. The more the merrier. It is almost better to think of leopard as a color, more so than a print!

photo 1-77

The reason I say that is because even though it is technically a print, the colors are super neutral and don’t stand out the way bold stripes, or chevron would.

I would call this my whimsical, cozy leopard look.

Number Two.

Most definitely my favorite.

photo 1-76

Again, notice I have on mint, yellow, AND a printed headband that coincides with the color of my skirt so it ties in without looking too matchy.

photo 3-66

For this look, I knotted the front of my top to cinch it in because my skirt is flowy. I don’t want my top to flow over and around my skirt. I want to prevent looking like a bag lady. Just a personal preference, one look I don’t want to share. LOL

Number Three.

photo 2-72

This look is posh and polished, or maybe I should just called it sass.

photo 3-65

You can never go wrong with a pair of classic black slacks and a front, half tuck.

By tucking in only the front of your shirt, it shows your waistline yet doesn’t make you look too stiff in comparison to a full tucked in shirt. It keeps things somewhat casual.

You can always throw on a denim jacket, it goes great with anything.

So there you have it. There are my three personal takes on wearing leopard print. If I showed you guys every leopard garment I owned, this post would last for hours. Ha-ha.

So please, if you have been considering  a leopard print purchase, do it! If you already own leopard, try playing it up with some colors, or prints that will compliment it, as well as you!

Lastly, all I have to say is…thank you, thank you, thank you! I love you guys so much for reading. My phone notified me of this on Monday! photo-25

I had to pinch myself when I saw this, who knew anyone wanted to see silly pictures of me!?

Have a great Halloween and day tomorrow! I will post again soon!

until next time,

stay cute, stay sweet.

xoxo,
