Ohhh Audrey

I want to share with you another inspirational gal, who many other people admire too: Audrey Hepburn.audrey

She is known best for her role in the classic movie, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, but she has many more great roles in other movies as well. A few of my favorites include “Funny Face”, “Paris when it Sizzles”, and “My Fair Lady”.

Funny Face

Upon becoming famous, Audrey received mixed reactions from the public. She wasn’t the stereotypical style of women who were famous of the times. Full figured women with round features were all Hollywood showcased. Audrey was scrawny, long, skinny, and plain awkward. She had dark straight hair, big round eyes, and pointy features.

What attract others to her though, is her timeless elegance and sense of style that exudes from the inside, out.  She embraced her youthful, awkwardness and showcased it as something truly beautiful.

She is a great example to everyone, that no matter what you look like, to embrace who you are. To have confidence so strong in your heart that it shines through your personality and how you present yourself.

Audrey Hepburn

“The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives the passion that she shows. The beauty of a woman grows with the passing years.” -Audrey Hepburn

So to everyone who doesn’t like something about their physical appearance, I challenge you to act as Audrey! She was awkward for her era, but embraced it and glowed from the inside out. Below is a clip from one of my favorite scenes from one of my favorite movies: “Funny Face” featuring Audrey herself and the infamous Fred Astaire. She is so awkward and funny, I love it.

until next time,
